The app
PrinterAI is free to download and use. You may use it on any Mac you own or look after. You may not resell it or pass it off as your own.
The subscription
The optional assistant costs $4.99 per month, billed by Apple through your App Store account. It renews automatically each month until you cancel, and you cancel it in your App Store account settings — not here, and not by deleting the app. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their normal policy, since Apple takes the payment.
Fair use: the subscription is for one person diagnosing their own printers. There is a generous limit on how many questions can be asked in a day, high enough that ordinary use will never meet it, which exists to stop one subscription being resold as a service.
What it does and doesn't promise
PrinterAI reports what your printer and your Mac say about themselves, and suggests things to try. It is a diagnostic tool, not a repair service, and it cannot guarantee your printer will work — some printers are genuinely broken.
Anything the app changes on your Mac, it asks about first and tells you what it will do. Actions that remove something — deleting a duplicate printer listing, throwing away stuck print jobs — always ask before they happen.
The app is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
The assistant's answers
The optional assistant uses a language model. It can be wrong. It is never given the ability to change anything on your Mac — it can only suggest, and you decide. Treat its suggestions the way you would treat advice from a helpful stranger who cannot see your printer.
Ending it
You can stop using PrinterAI at any time by deleting it. If you have a subscription, cancel it in your App Store settings — deleting the app does not cancel it.
